AVEDA TOP 20 LIFESTYLE SALON AWARD

Their latest achievement came this past summer when Aveda Corporation distinguished their Evan Todd Salon & Spa as one of the Top 20 Lifestyle Salons around the world—quite an achievement for only being open nine months, at the time.

When asked what has made them so successful, Todd and Cindy agree that the importance of having a passion for their craft and continuing education are key, as well as giving back to their community.

They model this by supporting causes like Heartford House for abused children, local artists and Locks of Love. They also acknowledge the fact that surrounding themselves with like-minded people helps them remain on task, as they endeavor to continually live out their goal of respecting one another and giving only exceptional service to the guests in their spas and salons.

Who We Are - Todd and Cindy Leuck

As second generation hair designers, Todd and Cindy Leuck are both following in the footsteps of their mothers. With over 25 years in the hair industry, their efforts have culminated with the establishment of two extremely successful Aveda Salon and Day Spas—Samson & Delilah’s, located in Lafayette, Indiana, and Evan Todd, in West Lafayette, Indiana. It was after completing advanced training at Sassoon’s Academy in London, that Todd & Cindy began to see their careers take off!

From the beginning, Todd & Cindy Leuck’s careers have included the Aveda difference. Over 20 years ago Horst Rechelbacher, founder of Aveda Corporation, chose Todd as his assistant for on-stage presentations—this was only the beginning of Todd’s recognition for his professional talents. Since then, Todd has worked with people like Antoinette Beenders, British Hairdresser of the Year for five years running. As a ‘Global Master Purefessional’—a title held by the Aveda elite, recognizing top leaders in the industry that help create curriculum, develop new products, and pioneer Aveda’s education—Todd travels throughout the country inspiring stylists on what’s new in hair fashion and on the latest collections from London; and motivating them to become some of the best in the industry.

Evan Todd's Willow Spa Package was voted one of the top spa packages for 2012 by Day Spa magazine, the premier spa business resource.

EVAN TODD VOTED TOP 200 SALONS IN AMERICA 2010

Evan Todd was recently named Top 200 Salons in America by Salon Today magazine, the top business publication for salon & spa owners. The magazine's 14th annual Salon Today Top 200 issue profiled Evan Todd in it's January 2011 issue. Evan Todd was recognized for Salon Growth & Best Practices in Environmental Sustainability. The 200 salons were selected for their best business practices from applications submitted by Salon Today readers, who represent the 25,000 top-producing salons and spas in the country.

Achievements

Both Todd & Cindy have experienced opportunities given only to a few hairdressers across the country. These experiences are essential for anyone desiring to have their work published within the industry; and this is part of what positions Todd & Cindy head and shoulders above their peers.

Their professional talents have been recognized by many celebrities within the industry. Paris Hilton and supermodels Gisele and Karolina Kurkova are just a few of the stars whose styles they have helped create at the premier New York Fashion Weeks, over the years. This semi-annual, by-invitation-only fashion industry spectacular was originally organized to showcase American designers. Today, it continues to shape the future of fashion as one of four major Fashion Weeks held in fashion capitals worldwide.

They also continue to make fashion statements in hair design, as they display their talents for such creators as Vera Wang, Betsey Johnson, Perry Ellis for Men, and Diesel.

Marie Claire, Women’s Wear Daily, Salon Today, and Modern Salon magazines have all featured articles on Todd & Cindy’s achievements. Marie Claire recognized them in their list of the nation’s Top Ten Designers.
